Bill Belanger - May, 2007 - Imaging - Why is everybody doing it ?

As a managing principal for Xerox Global Services’ Business

Process Services Practice, Bill Belanger specializes

in helping companies streamline their document-intensive business practices. A Six Sigma Green Belt with more than 22 years’ experience

in the information systems marketplace, Belanger has spent the past

14 years helping clients develop business process management solutions that improve document management, imaging and workflow.

Working closely with Xerox Global Services principals around the country, Belanger examines the entire document experience—from,

for example, the mortgage origination or the initial application for a life insurance policy through to the issuance of a new policy—to eliminate non-value-added costs and provide opportunities to increase top-line revenue growth. To reach that goal, Belanger and his team use a comprehensive assessment process that enables them to document the business process and pull in a wide range of technologies to manage

the flow of information.

Belanger first joined Xerox in 1995 as a senior consultant, where he was responsible for document management, document capture, workflow and systems integration. He assumed his present position in 2003. Before joining Xerox, Belanger worked for Advanced Systems Group in suburban Detroit, where he also focused on document management, workflow and integration processes for the financial services industry.

As a certified knowledge manager, a distinction he earned through

the Knowledge Management Certification Board, Belanger has unique training in capturing information that employees know instinctively

and transferring that knowledge into a universal process that can

work for everyone in the company. He is a member of the Knowledge Management Professional Society, based in Washington, D.C., as well

as a member of the Association for International Imaging Management, located in Silver Spring, MD.

Belanger’s other industry trainings and accreditations include Certified Document Imaging Architect, Documentum Field Training, FileNet Sales and Systems, OpenText, and Exigen, as well as other document management/content management solutions. He holds

both a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing and management and a master’s of business administration from

Northwood University in Midland, MI.
